Qi Zhang is associate professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aarhus University. She received her M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications from Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 2005 and 2008. She joined Department of Engineering, in August 2013. She is currently conducting research on Internet of Things, Edge Computing, Edge Intelligence, Tactile Internet, Sensor data compression and analytics, and compressive sensing. She is PI of three DFF projects (Agile-IoT, Light-IoT and eTouch). She is PI and project coordinator of Horizion Europe MSCA-DN TOAST project. She is PI of InnoExplorer project “Making digital transformation sustainable with novel data compression”. She has also participated in several other IFD, EU FP7 and H2020 projects. She has been the head of Computer Engineering program since April 2018. Before joining Department of Engineering, she worked in Aarhus School of Engineering (ASE), technical consultant for Accenture and Radio Network Expert for Danske Telecom. Note that Department of Engineering became Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in January 2021.
