    Abstract

    The evaluation presents the results of the bridge building project in which young people were offered a stay at a folk high school as part of a preparation for continuing in the formal youth education system. The evaluation showed that "time", being part of a community and the feeling of being competent constitute important factors in preparing and motivating young people for education and training.
