Spaces & Strategy Work in Inter-organizational Collaborations

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperResearchpeer-review

Organizations increasingly engage in inter-organizational collaborations to pool resources aimed at addressing grand societal challenges that otherwise would simply be 'out of reach'. Despite a growing interest in the micro-practices of strategizing in inter-organizational collaborations, we still know very little of how the strategy work in these settings unfold. Lack of structuring mechanisms such as hierarchies, contracts, or agreed upon rules and procedures complicate the strategy work. Drawing on data collected from a longitudinal ethnographic case study, we examine the role of space and investigate the interplay between strategy work and space.
