N2 - This paper investigates the distribution of mid-front rounded vowels in the Northumbrian glosses to the Lindisfarne gospels. Rounding after /w/ is a dialect feature of late Old Northumbrian. Numerical counts for the distribution of the feature are merged with new data. The goal is to see whether the data support already hypothesized demarcations in the text. The main finding is that the gospel of Luke and the second half of Mark have the most frequent occurrences of this feature and therefore are the most conservative sections of the glosses.
