N2 - This booklet contains the proceedings of the Ninth Workshop on Pratical Use of Coloured Petri Nets and CPN Tools, October 20-22, 2008. The workshop is organised by the CPN group at the Department of Computer Science, Aarhus University, Denmark. Coloured Petri Nets and the CPN Tools are now licensed to more than 7,200 users in 138 countries. The aim of the workshop is to bring together some of the users and in this way provide a forum for those who are interested in the practical use of Coloured Petri nets and their tools. After an additional round of reviewing and revision, some of the papers have been published in four special sections in the International Journal on Software Tools for Technology Transfer (STTT).
