Abstract

ROSA - Danish Rock Samråd, as a genre organization, aims to strengthen and promote the modern rhythmic music scene in Denmark.

Musical Visiting Friends is a project that explores the health-promoting and well-being-creating potential of music by matching artists with participants in visiting friend services for a musical meeting in the home. We seek to develop new methods and concert formats to make cultural life accessible to citizens who have difficult access to, for example, concerts in conventional venues. It is a collaboration between ROSA and Aarhus University, Department of Anthropology, and is supported by Region Midt Kulturudviklingspulje, Kirsten and Gunnar Fonden, KoSA, KODA Kultur and the Danish Arts Foundation.

In the video, we see how a concert visit can take place and the visiting friends Tove and Marianne talk about their experiences.

The video is produced by Master's student Amalie B.M. Andersen and PhD student Kenni Hede from the Department of Anthropology at Aarhus University.
