Marduk's Penis. Queering Enūma Eliš

The essay approaches the Babylonian epic Enuma Elish from the perspective of queer theory, examining the depiction of the female body as disquieting and impossible to subdue decisively, and the construction of an all-male sphere of discourse where men become invested in the company of other men.
