Making working in retailing interesting: A study of human resource management practices in Danish grocery retail chains

In this paper we investigate the human resource management practices of five Danish grocery retail chains from the perspective of both retailers and employees. We present an analytical framework for analysing the social and institutional context of Danish retailing and interpret our case study findings within this framework.
