    Abstract

    Rethorically, play is claimed to be a central part of children`s leisure i after-school programs in the three Scandinavian countries. UN warns against an increasing preassure for learning and a consequence of this is that the free spontanous play is marginalized and that childrens play is under pressure. In this article we will explore what intentions official documents express regarding childrens`s play in their institutionalized leisure after-school programs in Denmark, Norway and Sweden when it comes to.
