From Muse to Author: Romantic rhetoric in Camilla Collett's diary from the 1830s

In her diary from the 1830s, Collett's aesthetics are based on romantic topics, motifs and themes. In this article I demonstrate how the romantic rhetoric is appropriated and then subverted, with the result of a self-construction with a distinctive feminist stand.
