Since the publication of the latest update to the checklist of bees known from Denmark, the following four species have been added as new to the country: Andrena falsifica Perkins, 1915 (Andrenidae), A. nanula Nylander, 1848 (Andrenidae), Lasioglossum pauxillum (Schenck, 1853) (Halictidae) and Megachile alpicola Alfken, 1924 (Megachilidae). The Danish national checklist therefore now includes 292 known bee species. During the last 20 years, 27 of these species have been reported as new to Denmark, and it is expected that an additional 5-10 species occur in Denmark based on their known distribution from neighboring countries. The Danish bee fauna is therefore expected to exceed 300 recorded species. Of the 292 recorded species, approximately 25 are known only from older, and often unique, specimens and may not be considered resident to Denmark.
