Families in Coronavirus Lockdown - Psychological Impact, Stressors and the Role of Digital Media (invited keynote)

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperCommunication

The coronavirus crisis is affecting everyone around the world, with families in lockdown, kids unable to attend school, and many parents worried about their economic security. The COVIDiSTRESS global survey was put in motion to investigate the stressors resulting from that psychologically taxing situation.
In this presentation I will go over general findings from the COVIDiSTRESS investigation with a particular attention to the particular situations of families, and attempt to answer open questions like: Are families more stressed than others? Are any sources of distress or factors that help alleviate distress particular to parents? How do digital media from games to information behaviours influence the situation - for better or for worse?
