Consumer roles in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have not been in focus for electronics. A consumer perspective on knowledge about sustainability in electronics can help researchers better understand how knowledge about green electronics design affects consumer choices. This paper offers a framework for understanding consumer perspectives on green electronics as a basis for including consumer perspectives and education as part of green electronics design from a multidisciplinary perspective.
