N1 - John Benedicto Krejsler is Professor at the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University. His research on ‘New conditions for (pre-)school and teacher education – in a transnational perspective’ brings together a focus on education policy and ensuing new conditions for producing ’truths’ & social technologies to organize and manage education. He has published extensively in English and Danish in particular, but also in Swedish, Norwegian and French, and sits on a number of editorial boards. Furthermore, he has a passionate interest in theory development, and has written on the work of Deleuze, Foucault and Baudrillard among others. He was President of the Nordic Educational Research Association (2019-2022) and council member of the European Educational Research Association (2009-2018 + 2022- ). He was a Visiting Professor at Kristianstad University (Sweden) (2009-2010), Visiting Scholar at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) (2015-2016) and at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow (Scotland)(2023). He has a background as a teacher educator and a school teacher.

N2 - This final discussion chapter will sum up key findings from the chapters in order to synthesize and draw perspectives as to how this volume advances understanding of the Nordic dimension in education and education in the Nordic region. Furthermore, reflections and perspectives will point to issues and discussions where other regions, countries and their educational thinking and systems may learn from the experiences of integration in the Nordic region, potentials as well as pitfalls; and where the Nordic region and countries may learn from other regional collaborations.
