N2 - DINAMITA follows a group of millenials who constitute the first generation of Cuban YouTubers. Dina and Adriano are enthusiastic about technology, music, or fashion, like their peers from all over the world. These young people have clear opinions about social and political issues and they want to communicate this to the world. Adriano harnesses online video to deliver stand-up comedy with a biting social commentary about the harshness of everyday life in Cuba. Dina previously made make-up tutorials on how to make the most out of the very few cosmetic products available on the island. However, since a sexual assault that Dina herself experienced, she reevaluated the use of this and has now dedicated her channel to women’s rights issues. Expressing themselves through digital media, they both experience and participate in Cuba’s current transformation.
