Abstract
The report presents the empirical findings from the second stage of engagement in the HYBRIDA project, covering expert co-creation and consultation. Two co-creation expert workshops were conducted in Paris, May 2022, and in Copenhagen, June 2022, involving a total of 27 external experts and 11 internal HYBRIDA members. The aim of the workshops was to identify ethical and legal challenges in align-ment with the required needs, developments, and conceptualisations within the field of organoid research and to co-produce potential so-lutions to further develop the four HYBRIDA products, including ‘Operational Guidelines for the Field of Organoids and Organoid-re-lated Technologies’ and a ‘Code of Responsible Conduct for the Field of Organoids and Organoid-related Technologies’. Following the two expert workshops, an expert interview study with 15 experts within the field was conducted in November and December 2022. The main aim was to further explore ethical and legal issues pertaining to or-ganoid research, and enquire into emerging and persisting open ques-tion within HYBRIDA, e.g. concerning informed consent, sensitive organoid technologies, and science communication.
