In this paper I aim to address two issues on cheese: Naming and placing. Based on a comparative topographic analysis of cheese names in the US and Europe I will make a general claim about some differences between naming practices and geographical claims in The South of Europe, The US and The Nordic region. During the presentation we will have a genealogic tasting and try 3 different versions of the Danish Havarti Cheese and I will try to answer the question about its name.
