Abstract

This special issue of Minds and Machines presents new and original work on the issue of causality in the sciences of the mind and brain. The topic of causality in the sciences is a vibrant research topic in philosophy that has received extensive attention, especially in recent years. The idea for this special issue, along with many of the papers, have been developed at the Causality in the Sciences Conference: Causality in the Sciences of the Mind and Brain Conference, held in Aarhus in June 2016. The sciences of the mind and brain is a particularly interesting field for the investigation of issues of causation. The field currently develops with an immense speed and the borders of its disciplines are constantly negotiated.
