Abstract
This research report describes the results from a research project investigating children's understanding of books and their perspectives on the method "Read-and Play", developed by the Mary Foundation.
72 children from seven different child care centers were interviewed on the subjects and also expressed their likes and dislikes through drawing.
The report contains the results of the project and recommendations for read and play as a method used to promote children's development - with a special focus on language development and disadvantaged children.
