A university of culture or a university for culture?

Research output: Contribution to conferenceConference abstract for conferenceResearchpeer-review

Not so long ago, it was understood that universities and culture were intimately related. However, in a neoliberal and post-truth world, that understanding has faded. The idea of culture as such is rarely to be seen in higher education circles. We pose the question, therefore, as to whether universities and culture may still be understood as standing in a positive relationship with each other, or whether they undermine each other. In the symposium, we aim to address this question from three angles – social philosophy (Barnett), ontology (Bengtsen), and design philosophy (Nørgård).
