Through collaboration between universities, municipalities, and regions across national borders between Norway, Denmark, and Sweden, the project aims to disseminate good practice and develop higher levels of knowledge and skills to disseminate the insights and measures that ensure a total reduction in energy consumption.
In this context, we study and develop good examples for minimizing operating energy and the right balance between new production and renovation of public buildings. The decisive factor in being able to build more energy-efficient buildings is to reduce, partly the embodied energy and partly the energy use during operation.

In Activity5: Lightweight Structures, we study the choice of the loadbearing structure’s type, and the effect of the building structure on the indoor climate, especially of vibration and noise.
