Modeling the direct and indirect effects of cow genome on methane production to breed for less methane emitting cows

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The aims of this study are 1) develop genomic prediction models which are able to model direct and indirect effects of cow genome on methane production 2) predicting the network and gene regulators which are associated with rumen microbiota composition 3) integration of rumen microbiota, gene expression, and SNP genotypes for genomic prediction of methane emission.
