The goal of this project is to explore children's inclusion in schools through a focus on social conflicts. Despite an intensive agenda of inclusion in Denmark, a large number of children are experiencing conflicts and exclusion from school communities. The conditions for children's participation in school are set in several different places, where teachers' experiences of professionalism and parents' experiences of modern parental tasks are at stake - and are closely linked to structural conditions in schools.
These tangled problems can be differentiated into 4 related problematics:
a) Children's communities and parental collaboration
b) Teacher Professionalism
c) Municipal management and organization of support for inclusion
d) School Leadership and Inclusion
These different aspects of inclusion are explored with a joint focus on conflicts, within the framework of a common theoretical approach to social practice and subjectivity and with shared empirical cases.
