Project: Research

Description

EverJust is a four-year research project that explores everyday dispute resolution and security provision in Myanmar during the peace and democratisation process. It aims to understand how locally legitimate authority is produced in contexts that have experienced decades of armed conflict and where state institutions co-exist with customary, ethnic and other informal authorities. The project supports research capacity in Myanmar.
EverJust is coordinated by DIIS, in partnership with Yangon University, Enlightened Myanmar Research and Aarhus University. It is funded by The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Danida.
