The first purpose of the project is to promote Nordic languages and culture as well as mutual Nordic-Baltic linguistic and cultural understanding. This will be achieved by increasing the possibilities of learning Norwegian and Danish. We also want to develop new and innovative ways of learning a Nordic language as a foreign language or as a second language. The second important purpose is to make it easier for people in the Baltic region to integrate into and effectively communicate with the population of the Nordic countries, as the interaction has never been more extensive than now. Many people from the Baltic countries work and live in the Nordic countries and language is the key factor for integration. The third purpose of the project is to carry on research about the language acquisition methods invented in this particular e-learning platform in comparison to other Internet based approaches to teaching and learning Nordic languages as foreign and second languages in order to enhance, understand and broaden both Baltic and other language users acquisition of Nordic languages.
