Early term caesarean section and cognitive function in childhood – A 7 year follow-up of a randomized trial

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

In 2009-2011 we conducted a randomized trial of the timing of elective caesarean section in 38 versus 39 weeks of gestation. The aim of this study is to compare cognitive function between the now six-to-eight-year-old children delivered within the two gestational age groups. Cognitive function will be assessed using a validated questionnaire and IQ test.
