Project Details
Description
Danish pig production and the meat industry faces increasing demands from customers and authorities for documentation of sustainability, climate impact and new requirements for environmental management. There is an urgent need to develop concepts and methods that can facilitate that Danish finisher production continuously improves their economy combined with an improved environmental profile, and that this can contribute to strengthening the raw material base, sales and competitiveness. CSR-Pork 4.0 improves the technical basis for reducing the climate and environmental impact of pork through initiatives by both primary producers and processors, with the aim of supporting the double bottom line while promoting both green and economic sustainability in the Danish pig sector.
The project is financed by GUDP and Svineafgiftsfonden.
