Project Details
Description
Global economic inequality has surged over the last decades and constitute a grand societal challenge. Paradoxically, support for policies mitigating economic inequality remains low. This project investigates how specific cognitive biases might be hindering our understanding of economic inequality and contributing to a resistance against wealth redistribution. Using such insights, this project moreover explores how cognitive debiasing can aid in increasing support for wealth redistribution, in turn decreasing economic inequality. An outcome with substantial societal implications.
