Every year the normative values for N, P and K in animal manure is updated. These values are based upon mean values from commercial farms for feed intake and composition, as well as for the production for a large variety of farm animal categories. Furthermore, literature values are used for the composition of the animal products (meat from different species and eggs), whereas milk composition is measured on farms. Emission factors from stables and storage of manure are taken from the literature.
