Lab for Water Engineering Innovation (WEI)
Dr. Zongsu Wei is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering at Aarhus University, Denmark. Dr. Wei received his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2015. Following graduation, he continued his training with postdoc positions at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, University of California Los Angeles, and Auburn University. His research interests are focused on developing sustainable technologies for water treatment and reuse. His diverse works are featured in more than 80 peer-reviewed papers, among which 23 papers are recognized as the ESI 1% Highly Cited Paper and/or 0.1% Hot Paper. He also applied for 3 international patents. Dr. Wei has received numerous awards in recognition of his research and service. Notable among these are the World’s Top 2% Scientists in Environmental Science (2021), Sapere Aude Research Leader, Award of Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing for Water Research and Chemosphere in 2018, Best Paper of Environmental Science: Water Research & Technology. Dr. Wei is currently serving as the Associate Editor for Water Research (Elsevier Publishing), Editor for Water Science and Technology (International Water Association Publishing) and Editorial Board Member for Engineering, Chemosphere, Chinese Chemical Letters, Environmental Science & Ecotechnology (Elsevier Publishing), and Carbon Research (Springer Publishing).
