Profile

I am a professor of occupational and environmental epidemiology and deputy head  for research at Department of Public Health. 

As a specialist in occupational and environmental medicine, I work with the interplay between environment and health, and my main research areas are respiratory diseases, allergy and exposure assessment – mainly within the public health and the occupational field. 

I have a special interest in the external microbiome and human health, and a passion for generation studies on environmental exposure and subsequent health outcome in future generations.

Job responsibilities

Together with my Research group and a large network of national and international I develop new research ideas and concepts, prepare grant applications and disseminate research results to society and the academic world.

 I am involved in teaching primarily on environment and health.

As a deputy head of research and talent my focus is to support researcher to be able to conduct excellent research in a safe and inspiring environment.
