My generel research interests are health, welfare and behaviour in livestock via application of precision technologies. Some of my focus areas are automated detection of disease and lameness, plus modelling of energy balance. I use various types of modelling and machine learning methods to process data streams coming from one or several sensors in combination. The integration of data from several online sensor technologies enable early and automated prediction of the health status of the animals under surveillance. This knowlegde can be used for improving management prodcedures, for instance by issuing alarms for unwanted events.
