Personal profile

Profile

I conduct research in translational MRI with a focus on improving diagnostics in primary liver cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Based at the MR Research Centre, Aarhus University, my work combines metabolic imaging techniques with preclinical models to advance non-invasive biomarkers for liver disease.

Research

My research focuses on liver cancer imaging, with particular emphasis on metabolic and functional assessment of hepatocellular carcinoma using hyperpolarized MRI. By leveraging real-time metabolic imaging, my goal is to develop early diagnostic markers and improve risk stratification for patients with liver cancer. This research aims to bridge experimental imaging with clinical application, supporting clinicians in improving diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcome prediction in patients with primary liver malignancies.

Job responsibilities

My main area of work is translational liver imaging, including liver cancer metabolism, functional assessment, and biomarker development. I additionally support projects involving surgical models, image-guided interventions, and technical development in HP-MRI.
