Personal profile

Research

My research is within bladder cancer where I especially focus on the tumor microenvironment. In this setting, I analyze immune cells using spatial analyses to investigate how the composition of immune cells, their functional status as well as spatial localization affect the disease and treatment response. Furthermore, I characterize the genomic and transcriptomic landscapes of tumors to increase our knowledge on disease progression, aggressivity and treatment response.

Job responsibilities

Assistant professor focused on cancer research. I run data analyses and serve as a bridge between the laboratory and bioinformatics focusing on selecting samples for relevant clinical questions. Furthermore, I supervise students, teach and am involved in running our local biobank.
