Tobias Dias is a researcher, writer, and editor based in Aarhus, Denmark. He is currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher in Art History at Aarhus University where he is working on the project A Nameless Science: Art, Expertise, and Infrastructure, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. His writings have appeared in journals and magazines like e-flux journal, Art-Agenda, Texte zur Kunst, Periskop, ARKEN Bulletin, kritische berichte (forthcoming), and in several anthologies. At the moment he is completing a book manuscript on the prehistory of “artistic research”.
He is editor (together with Maja Bak Herrie) of the Nordic Journal of Aesthetics. He is also a member of the extradisciplinary collective Organ of the Autonomous Sciences. In 2023 he is curating the program series Experts of the Undercommons at the art space Kunsthal Aarhus. For more on this project see here.
