Personal profile

Research

Characterization of physical soil structure and linking it to the potential for solute and colloid-facilitated transport of contaminanants. Part of projects on occurrence and characteristics of microplastic in Danish soil ecosystems, and  investigating the fluxes and effects of aeolian dust on soil functional properties in South Greenland. Soil health and monitorng are key words for the last years research.

Teaching

Besides teaching and supervision activities on MSc and PhD level,  recruitment of students at e.g. high schools has been an essential part of my outreach activities.  Showing them how science, and in particular soil science, can be exciting and why it is essential for global ecosystem services and human health.
