Personal profile

Research

I have a broad research profile within Musicology with special expertise in the following areas:

Musical analysis: Since commencing on my PhD, I have been doing research on music analysis and music theory, particularly epistemological, methodological, and historical questions within the field.

Women in music history: I am researching women in Danish music, especially at the end of the 19th century. I am the author of the first book about the Danish composer Tekla Griebel Wandall (1866-1940).

Danish singing culture: Currently, I am working ethnographically with Danish communal singing culture, addressing questions such as inclusion, exclusion, participation, and cultural memory.

I am involved in a number of networks and editorial roles:

  • The Young Academy of Denmark (member 2025–2030)
  • Danish Classical Music (editor-in-chief)
  • Danish Yearbook of Musicology (co-editor)
  • Danish Musicological Society (board member)
  • Svensk tidskrift för musikforskning / Swedish Journal of Music Research (editorial board member)
