How can we improve long term prognostication and progonosis of newborns with brain damage? 

My reserach focus is newborn with brain damage due to lack of oxygen at bith - Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). Throught the use of a preclinical model I work with magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy to gain futher insight in to the newborn brain and the underlying pathomechanisms that constitues HIE and how to treat them.
