Personal profile

Research

My research primarily revolves around the nutrition and nutritional physiology of gestating and lactating sows, and suckling piglets, with a strong emphasis on the period during transition, typically with more applied research. The main objective is to optimize nutrient utilization by gestating and lactating sow for better colostrum and milk production, ultimately improving the survival and growth of the suckling piglets. I have collaborated with different industries in my project work.

Commissioned

I provide science-based consultancy to the authority as needed.

Cooperation and dissemination

I have been collaborating with different industries during my research activities. I have a strong network with SEGES, Vestjllands Andel, CCPA (French company), BioZyme Inc. (US/Germany), and IFF (Denmark).

Teaching

I have been teaching different courses both at graduate and undergraduate levels.

At the bachelor level, I am teaching Animal Anatomy and Physiology and Sustainable Livestock Production

At graduate level, I am also teaching Quantitative Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Nutrient Cycling and Environmental Management, Feedstuff Evaluation, and Animal Production, Health, and Welfare
