Profile

I am the Head Consultant for Education at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

My clinical specialty is urogynecology (prolapse of the vaginal walls/uterus, urinary and fecal incontinence, and birth injuries).

As an associate professor, I lecture, supervise, teach, and evaluate students.

I am the Chair of the Danish Medical Societies (LVS) and the head of Vælg Klogt (the Danish version of the international Choosing Wisely initiative).

My research focuses on urogynecology and Vælg Klogt.

Job responsibilities

Within gynecology and obstetrics my subspecialty is urogynecology.

Together with clinical work, my primary area of responsibility is pregraduate (medical students) and postgraduate (specialist training) education.

Furthermore, I work at a broader, national, and political level to ensure high quality in patient care (Chair of the Danish Medical Association).

As the leader of Choosing Wisely, Denmark, we develop and implement recommendations to avoid "the unnecessary" in our healthcare system.
