Research interests
My main interest is facilitating biological understanding of plant-microbe interactions using computational approaches. I am using high-throughput next-generation sequencing to facilitate forward and reverse genetics in the model legume Lotus japonicus using insertional mutagenesis (http://lotus.au.dk), and for mutant and causal allele identification both in classical forward genetics and in QTL and genome-wide association analysis. My group applies similar methods to study nitrogen fixation efficiency and cross-species interactions using the forage legume white clover as experimental system. We are also establishing a genomic platform for faba bean breeding in collaboration with Danish plant breeders.

Teaching experience
Eukaryotic model organisms (MSc level), 15 ECTS. Teaching is shared by five lecturers. I have developed course materials for the plant section of the course, including both a theoretical and a lab practical part.
Next-Generation Sequencing data analysis (PhD level), 5 ECTS. I have developed the computer exercises for the course and act as lecturer and examiner in collaboration with Mikkel H. Schierup.
