Sonal has a Ph.D. from IIT-Roorkee India in Electrical Engineering in 2020 with a focus on spintronic devices and circuit simulation. She has M.Tech. degree (Gold medallist) in VLSI Design Automation & Techniques from NIT Hamirpur, India (2014). She has authored several good IEEE Journals and several conference research articles. Furthermore, she has experience working as an “Assistant Professor” at the Electronics and Telecommunications Department, College of Engineering Roorkee, India. She has co-organized and participated in several seminars and conferences. She has delivered contributed/invited talks at NTU Singapore (BICPAMA seminar) and at IIIT Jabalpur, India (IEEE NTC invited talk) in 2021 and 2022, respectively. She is a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals such as IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, IEEE Nanotechnology Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems- I and II, Elsevier Microelectronics Journal, IOP Semiconductor Science and Technology, and so on. She has been listed among Golden Reviewers published by IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices in 2020 and 2021. Currently, she is working as a postdoctoral researcher in the ICElab research center, Electronics and Photonics section, Aarhus University. Her research interests are compact (analytical) modeling of spintronics devices, MRAM development, spin-torque nano oscillators, spin-based neural network and neuromorphic computing, and low power digital design.
