Personal profile
Research
My research focuses on the multifaceted nature of organizational wrongdoing, with a particular emphasis on fraud and corruption. I investigate various mechanisms for preventing and detecting organizational wrongdoing, such as organizational culture and whistleblowing. Additionally, I explore how these forms of misconduct are socially constructed and the role the media plays in shaping perception and understanding of these issues. Methodologically, my focus is both qualitative and quantitative, including experiments and surveys.
Teaching
I teach introductory courses to management and financial accounting which provide students with strong foundations in understanding accounting practices. My courses also cover advanced topics on current accounting issues and legislation, such as non-financial accounting, supply chain due diligence, DEIB, and fraud prevention and detection.
