I am a macro- and vegetation ecologist dedicated to understand vegetation dynamics across space and time, as well as, provide methodological progress that brings more realism to models and predictions of species’ range dynamics.
The goal of my research is to find answers to fundamental questions in ecology but also to inform nature conservation about the impact of global change on biodiversity. My research thus has two main components – empirical studies to gain insight on the factors and processes determining ecological patterns from small to large scales, and the improvement and development of actionable models of future impact of global change on plant communities and biodiversity.
