Personal profile

Research

As a researcher, I am interested in the impact of multimorbidity and social vulnerability on cross-sectoral healthcare services and the prognosis of patients with advanced heart failure undergoing various treatment strategies. My work has addressed a range of topics, including the influence of multimorbidity and socioeconomic factors on long-term healthcare utilization, prognosis, adherence to medical treatment, and participation in rehabilitation among heart transplant recipients in Denmark.

I have also explored the experiences of cross-sectoral healthcare from the perspectives of heart transplant recipients, their relatives, and healthcare professionals. Currently, I serve as the project manager for a new digital, patient-centered, and socially differentiated follow-up program for heart transplant recipients in Denmark. This program is developed using a participatory approach involving end users.

I am a nurse with nearly 25 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty.

Job responsibilities

My primary area of responsibility is health services research in cardiovascular disease, and I have recently expanded my focus to include women’s health and cardiovascular conditions.
