Personal profile

Research

My research focus on host-pathogen interactions with a focus on parasite induced immune modulation. My research delves into the molecular mechanisms through which parasitic worms and their derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) modulate host immune responses, influence disease progression, and promote parasite survival within hosts. My work has implications for developing innovative diagnostic tools and therapeutic strategies for parasitic infections and chronic inflammatory conditions and thereby advancing both parasitology and EV research for potential clinical applications.

Cooperation and dissemination

Most of my research is interdisciplinary, and I collaborate with a wide range of national and international researchers. If you are interested in collaborating, please feel free to contact me.

Teaching

I am course responsible and teach on our three week summer school "Extracellular Vesicles in Health and Disease" (5 ECTS)
