Research

Peter Jepsen is the Clinical Professor of Hepato-Epidemiology, and he is a Consultant Hepatologist at the Department of Hepatology and Gastroenterology. His research focuses on alcohol-related liver disease and primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma [HCC] and cholangiocarcinoma), with a particular emphasis on clinical course, prevention, early diagnosis, and collaboration with primary care.

Cooperation and dissemination

Peter Jepsen is - as a researcher - a product of a long-standing collaboration between the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and the Department of Hepatology and Gastroenterology. He now collaborates with numerous colleagues at home and abroad and has a particularly well-established collaboration with colleagues at the University of Nottingham in England, where he is an Honorary Professor.

Teaching

Peter Jepsen is main supervisor for two PhD students and mentors four postdocs who combine clinical training with research at the highest international level.
