Personal profile

Profile

My research focuses on cell and molecular biology, particularly related to blood clots and heart diseases. I study how proteins on platelets interact and how micro-RNAs affect platelet clotting. I also have experience in the genetics of thrombotic diseases, which ties into my work on platelet function and clot risk. Additionally, I explore diagnostic methods and their effectiveness in detecting important genetic variants.

Job responsibilities

My primary research responsibility lies within the Thrombosis and Hemostasis Research Group, where I manage the operation of our well-equipped research laboratory with highly specialized equipment. Here, we investigate biomarkers that indicate the risk of blood clots and bleeding. I am also responsible for the department's molecular biology diagnostic laboratory.
