President of the Danish NCD Alliance and operational research advisor and member of the research committee of the East African NCD Alliance.
Founding Co-Director of Center for Global Health at Aarhus University, where my research activities and portfolio focus on strengthening Primary Health Care in low- and middle-income countries. The main guiding principles being developing and testing models for integrated, comprehensive, community-oriented care delivered through a Primary Health Care team of locally available health professionals and volunteers.
Since 2019 Director of the Research Unit for General Practice, Aarhus continuing the above aspirations also in a Danish context.
