Personal profile

Research

My research is focused on understanding virus-host interaction and how antiviral immunity can be improved through medical interventions to achieve functional cures for HIV and chronic hepatitis B (HBV). My research team has conducted a number of phase 1 and 2 clinical trials, primarily in HIV but also in Covid-19 and chronic HBV infection. The potential impact of treatment with antiviral monoclonal antibodies on long term humoral and cellular immunity is a particular point of interest.
